I've had 2 years industry experience in which I learnt there are some things that can't be learnt in the class room, this is just as true in the freelance area. I've been working as a freelance designer and illustrator for nearly a year now and love it. It's been a great experience and I've been involved a fantastic and diverse amount of projects that have expanded my skills and experience.

After I studied graphic design at Falmouth University, Cornwall, I spent 3 months gaining work experience at Beams UK in Kent. The work I was involved with there helped me get a job as a production assistant at Absolute back in Cornwall. With in months of printing, cutting, laminating and coffee making I was promoted to Graduate Designer, this mostly involved designing wine menus and amending retainer projects. After a while I began to be involved with the conceptual and design stages of bigger branding projects. This is where I started to learn more about professional design and having drawing skills definatley became an advantage for myself and my fellow designers. After two years I felt it was time to move to London and persue the advancment of my career.
